Before behavior can change, the nervous system must be calmed. 🌿 In this 60-minute, trauma-informed workshop, parents, caregivers, grandparents, and foster/adoptive families will learn how to recognize when they—or the children in their care—have moved outside their window of tolerance and what to do next.
With 23 years of hands-on experience supporting children and teens with sensory sensitivities and trauma triggers, this workshop brings together strategies that are practical, tested, and proven effective in real-life moments—not just theory.
Participants will learn why stress, fatigue, and trauma can shrink a child’s capacity, how children “borrow” the adult’s nervous system, and how to recognize early warning signs before escalation occurs. You’ll gain practical, in-the-moment tools to support regulation and connection while reducing power struggles.
