Trauma-Informed Parenting Discussion & Questions

You're Not the Only Parent Wondering...

After more than 20 years as a trauma therapist, I can tell you one thing with confidence: parents are asking many of the same questions.

Every week, I sit with loving, exhausted parents who ask things like: "Why does my child lie?" "How do I handle meltdowns without making them worse?" "Is this behavior because of trauma, ADHD, anxiety, or something else?" "Am I doing enough?"

I wish I could share all of the stories and conversations I've had over the years because they would remind so many parents that they are not alone.

That's why I need your help.

I'm creating a growing Trauma-Informed Parenting Questions Library filled with real questions from real parents. This resource will provide practical, trauma-informed guidance while creating a place where families can learn from one another without anyone's personal story being shared. Your question doesn't have to be unique. In fact, it probably isn't—and that's exactly the point. If you've been wondering about something, there's a good chance dozens of other parents are wondering the same thing.

Whether your question is about behaviors, consequences, school, attachment, foster care, adoption, biological parenting, grandparents raising grandchildren, or simply surviving another hard day, I want to hear it.

By submitting your question, you're helping build a resource that will support parents long after your own question has been answered.

Together, we can create a community where parents feel less alone, more equipped, and more confident—one question at a time.

Submit your question today. It may become the answer another parent has been searching for.
